COMMON QUESTIONS
How long does treatment last?
When we meet and discuss a bit further what you are looking to address in therapy, we will also discuss what it will look like when you achieve your treatment goal. We will have a better idea of the length of treatment following our initial session.
What kind of therapy do you do?
The short answer is what we call eclectic - this means I tend to borrow from various theories when conducting treatment. This lets me connect with clients using a person-centered approach where treatment is tailored to meet your needs. I tend to gravitate towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic, and Narrative Therapy. Please note that I am not a certified DBT therapist, however find the mindfulness practices of DBT very helpful to supporting clients.
Where are you located?
How long does each therapy session take?
Sessions are approximately 50 minutes. Other factors that may impact this is your insurance coverage or approval.
